The Turkish American Cultural Association of Florida is a Non Profit Corporation that has been registered with the Attorney General's office of the State of Florida.
Its mission is to promote the Turkish culture within the United States. Its membership is open to anyone wanting to join and pay the yearly dues. To promote the Turkish culture TACAF board plans and participates in several activities throughout the year, including the annual folklore festival in St Petersburg, Florida, called SPIFFS. The Turkish American Cultural Association of Florida was founded in 1986. Last year TACAF had approximately 170 due paying members. A newsletter is published every six weeks informing the membership of the coming events and summaries of the events occurred. TACAF is also a member of ATAA, the Associations of Turkish American Associations headquartered in Washington, DC.
